By preventing sleep, these beds maximize time for work, which, in my opinion, reflects what ergonomics can sometimes really serve. Letterman became a 24/7 exclusive channel on Samsung TV Plus, it needed a cohesive motion system to extend its branding into a continuous streaming format. Working with the team at Modicum, we designed and animated a comprehensive package—including openers, bumpers, lower thirds, and interstitials—for both the FAST service and live broadcasts. Drawing inspiration from the show’s established and rich late-night legacy, we crafted a warm and inviting visual language that resonated with its broad and diverse audience. It reflects people's understanding of death and embodies specific cultural and religious customs. Traditional Chinese burials represent a transition toward immortality, a denial of death. In today's modern society, as land becomes increasingly crowded, the practice and physical size of tombstones aimed at achieving the concept of "eternity" has become unsustainable. How can we redefine burial practices to be more environmentally friendly while still embracing the cultural philosophies of life? Yi Cong is a series of installations that are designed nearby beaches and oceans as a way to utilize the space for climate resilience infrastructure. They are designed to deteriorate naturally. With each crash of the waves, the ash that made up the installation will dissipate little by little into the ocean. The concept focuses on the dematerialization and decay aspect of life.
